Our story

Since 1989, the time that our host graduated from broadcast school, Rick Abma dreamed of sharing one person's life experience with another.  The idea of story-telling is nothing new, but is rooted deeply in each of our lives.  Therefore, story-telling was the greatest way to pass this on.  
 
Since the beginning of time, story-telling was the way parents taught children and passed the legacy of healthy community on to the next generation.  Before Guttenburg invented the printing press, story-telling was part of community and learning.  The Bible, even before it was available to everyone, was in story form, and passed down throughout the ages.

Today, the Sunnyside Up show looks to take advantage of that tradition.  We invite you to do the same.
