When Fred adopted his greyhound from the track, he thought he was slow, old and not winning enough money.  The dog could speak and told his new owner that he was actually in his prime, but wanted to be adopted when he discovered the rabbit he was chasing all this time was not real.  It is amazing how many of us spend life chasing something that is not for real.
